Erm…best mafia books I’ve read are:

Frank Costello: Prime Minister of the Underworld - by George Wolf (his lawyer)

The Mafia Talks - Joseph Waltz (basically a summary of the bugs placed in Sam DeCavalcante’s office in the 1960s)

Made Men: The True Rise-and-Fall Story of a New Jersey Mob Family - Greg Smith

I’ve never read a book about Lucky Luciano though.

I don’t think there are many photos of any Jewish Mafia people, unless you mean the more recent eastern European immigrants. You’d be hard pressed to find any of Bugsy Siegel and the sort. Here is one I found of some Philadelphia gangsters Sonny Franzese and Nicky Scarfo.

Have you ever considered posting more modern LCN stories? Perhaps even some articles of organized crime outside of the LCN? I appreciate what you post regardless, just a small suggestion. Nonetheless I'm a huge fan, I love organized crime in all shapes and forms. Huge Sopranos fan, which inspired my research of it and then I moved out of it after watching The Wire.

I have done a bit more modern stuff but the problem is the whole story doesn’t come out for quite some time after the events. You might want to search the DeCavalcante tag for some modern(ish) posts. I too find that my interest in these areas are influenced by whatever tv show I watch. Hence my occasional drift into posting about 1980s drug dealers. I do have a book about…someone whose name I can’t remember right now but it’s about slightly more modern things. Once I’ve read that I’ll post do some posts about it.
